The Station

When the previous owners had to leave the Night Quarter the complex fell silent until it was given a new lease of life as The Station.   The new owners have developed a management style that has sustainability at its core.  ‘It’s fun with a conscience’ is their motto and they do everything they can to preserve the planet we share through their daily business practices. 

From recycling, reusing, and repurposing everything to help reduce landfills.  The design of the complex highlights their commitment to sustainability, such as recycled and refurbished shipping containers, furniture, eco-friendly water dispensers, food containers, and glassware. 

They offset their carbon footprint and do their bit to fight climate change by donating 100% of the proceeds from eligible containers recycled through the Containers for Change program to the Reforest organisation, which plants trees in local reforestation projects.

They source ingredients locally, working with local producers, brewers and distillers.  Their social inclusion processes, including, designing the site to be accessible for all mobility levels.  They have a positive attitude towards reducing barriers to employment for people with additional needs, helping to increase the low employment rate for people with additional needs in Australia.
