Our cutting-edge professional development programme in sustainability equips teachers and school curriculum leaders with the knowledge, tools, and inspiration to integrate sustainability principles into their teaching practices and empower students to become agents of change towards sustainability.
Teachers will increase their knowledge and skills to move beyond working in isolated subject areas to build a unified sustainable education framework, embedding and interconnecting sustainability across all learning areas. Topics covered include: embedding the sustainability domains (cultural, social, ecological and economic) across learning areas; futures-thinking and curriculum development; interconnecting sustainability and learning areas through systems thinking; achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and the Inner Development Goals across the curriculum areas.
Sustainable TransformationsTM Workshop Programme
Eternal World’s Sustainable Transformations™ workshop programme provides training for teachers to build their knowledge, capacity, and ability to become sustainability champions.
We appreciate how daunting this complex need for change for sustainability, and the task of achieving the current sustainable development goals (SDGs) targets in the school setting. Eternal World has developed Sustainable Transformations™ to make this transition more accessible and achievable. We are here to assist with planning for changes in school processes, policies, and procedures considering the vital need to implement sustainability and the current SDGs.
The programme is designed to increase staff’s ability to develop the skills, knowledge, and ability to implement an institution-wide systems thinking and values-based approach to sustainability and achieving the current and future SDGs.
This programme works through a framework of mapped sessions across six bridges to sustainability. As there is no standalone way of educating for sustainability, and nor should there be, the models and frameworks chosen for each bridge will expand on your current understanding of, and knowledge and skills in, sustainability.
